Let’s be honest: We’ve all watched a high-octane, cinematic chase scene and wished we could hop behind the wheel. Gamers feel the same way! But thanks to revolutionary graphics, innovative gameplay, and immersive in-game worlds, most players get a little closer to sitting behind the wheel than the average movie-goer.
Purchase (or steal) your ride and press that trigger — here are 10 of our favorite virtual rides we wish we could take for a spin.
Sweet Tooth (Twisted Metal)

Clown-themed antagonist Marcus “Needles” Kane has commanded roads and creeped out gamers since Twisted Metal hit shelves in 1995. The rust-covered, polka-dotted ice cream truck doesn’t sling scoops quite as much as it crushes opponents in combat.
M12 Light Reconnaissance Vehicle/”Warthog” (Halo)

Like Master Chief’s helmet and the Needler, the M12 LRV Warthog has become synonymous with the beloved 2000s sci-fi shooter. This agile offroad ride seats two — one player maneuvers the ‘Hog, while another operates the turret affixed to the rear — making slaying extraterrestrial enemies a breeze.
Wiggler (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe)

Step aside, Pipe Frame — Wiggler reigns supreme. The controversial Wiggler/Azure Roller combo complicated online gameplay for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe users; until recent updates, nearly all racers in every match opted for a Waluigi-controlled Wiggler, leading to raceway chaos. In a 200CC match full of WaluWigglers, you might as well log out now.

Herrera Outlaw GTS (Cyberpunk 2077)

With immersive maps, an incredible soundtrack, and unbelievable graphics, CD Projekt Red’s dystopian open-world RPG makes every ride look cool. However, the Herrera Outlaw GTS stands above the rest. With high speeds and balanced handling, gamers can blast past and out-maneuver any chrome-laden cronies that dare to cross them.
Pegassi Osiris (Grand Theft Auto V)

With a campaign mode price tag of just under $2 million and top speeds of 122 mph, it’s hard for any player to turn down the ultra-slick Pegassi Osiris. The two-door hypercar takes inspiration from LeFerrari, seen in the former’s similarly-designed front end. While it’s not the fastest ride in the game, rest assured you can still skrrrt past the haters.
Dodge SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo (Gran Turismo 6)

A ride so aerodynamic, it needs wings. Creatives at Dodge created the SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo for the 2015 PlayStation 3 title Gran Turismo 6. The ride was designed to represent the brand’s vision for 2035, 20 years from its in-game release. We’re halfway there, Dodge — don’t let me down!
Fennec (Rocket League)

The Fennec is the only Rocket League ride to come from a loot crate, but its comfortable handling and hitbox qualities (like the Octane) put it among the game’s most popular rides. With Rocket League‘s customization capabilities, players can transform and tailor the car’s body to suit even their most eclectic design preferences.
Blue Falcon (F-Zero)

I needn’t wax poetic about the ways the F-Zero franchise influenced racing titles as we know them. Fast-paced gameplay borders on frantic as pilots propel their crafts to the finish line, but ultimately, few can outnavigate Captain Falcon’s well-rounded and aerodynamic Blue Falcon.
Batmobile (Batman: Arkham Knight)

You don’t need to play Batman: Arkham Knight to get familiar with the Batmobile, but this 2015 title puts would-be vigilantes closer to the car than ever. Take down henchmen, tear through obstacles, tackle quests, and cruise the city in this slick whip reminiscent of Christopher Nolan’s interpretation.
M35 Mako (Mass Effect)

This bulky beast is exactly what Sheperd and the Normandy crew need to mine materials and explore rugged planetary terrain. Don’t be fooled by the Mako’s size — this ergonomic six-wheeler can clear narrow passageways, scale near-vertical mountains, and easily hover over baddies or other obstacles. The Mako even contributes to combat, cooking enemies with its massive cannon or simply crushing them.
