Nintendo officially announced its next Nintendo Direct, confirming recent rumors of an impending presentation. The brand’s upcoming Direct, confirmed to be a 30-minute-long Partner Showcase, will air tomorrow — Thursday, February 5 — at 6 a.m. PST/9 a.m. EST. Nintendo revealed the date of its next Direct in a post to X (formerly Twitter). “A new #NintendoDirect Partner Showcase livestream is on the way,” Nintendo of America shared in a Wednesday morning X post. “Tune in tomorrow, Feb 5, at 6am PT for roughly 30 minutes of upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games.” Uploaded just one hour ago, the social media post has since been viewed more than 400,000 times.
Thursday’s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase marks the third Direct presentation since the start of the year. The year’s inaugural Nintendo Direct, held on Sunday, January 25, spotlighted The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, currently in development with animation studio Illumination. The second, a dedicated Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream showcase, aired last Thursday, January 29.
Like the brand’s past Partner Showcases, tomorrow’s presentation will prioritize new and upcoming Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 games from third-party developers and publishers. Nintendo’s last Partner Showcase, held July 31, 2025, gave gamers closer looks at Square Enix’s Octopath Traveler 0 and Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, as well as SEGA and RGG’s Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2.
Nintendo hasn’t confirmed or teased any potential presentation features, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating. Myriad third-party Nintendo Switch releases are on the horizon — Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem, SEGA and RGG’s Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, IO Interactive’s 007 First Light, FromSoftware’s The Duskbloods, and more — so fan hypotheses run the gamut. Your best bet? Kick back, relax, and wait for whatever Nintendo’s new Partner Showcase has in store.
