Global gaming giant Nintendo held its latest Direct presentation on Thursday morning, a scheduled stream spotlighting its third-party partners, including Square Enix, Capcom, Ryu Ga Gotoku, and more. The Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, announced just 24 hours in advance, offered Switch and Switch 2 users a look at upcoming games making their Nintendo Switch 2 debut (or return, in some cases). From Bethesda to MachineGames and more, the Nintendo Switch handheld is about to welcome some big-time blockbusters for the first time.
“It was incredible for us to partner on the original Nintendo Switch and it was just such a great piece of hardware and so personal when you play,” Bethesda Softworks Studio Head Todd Howard said. “We’re excited to finally bring a number of our franchises for the first time to Nintendo [platforms].”
Nintendo’s new Direct aired stateside at 6 a.m. PST and 9 a.m. EST, leaving many working Americans unable to tune in.
