ARC RAIDERS 🎮 Outrun Gaming

ARC Raiders sells 14m units, dominates weekly player charts

Embark Studios’ blockbuster extraction shooter, ARC Raiders, has officially sold more than 14 million units globally. According to a new investor presentation from publisher Nexon, the dystopian shooter saw a “sensation launch with 14 million units sold” in the 15 weeks since its October 30 release. ARC Raiders passed the 12-million player milestone on January 13, which means the popular multiplayer shooter sold another 2 million units in the 30 days since.

The presentation, led by Nexon president and CEO Junghun Lee and CFO Shiro Uemura, also cited ARC Raiders‘ “exceptional retention and strong player metrics,” following a peak of nearly 1 million concurrent players (around 960,000) last month. The team shared that ARC Raiders averages about 6 million weekly active users (WAUs), which Nexon says it expects to sustain.

In its presentation, Nexon leaders say ARC Raiders‘ strong performance “validates” the brand’s ability “to create and sustain a global blockbuster new IP.” Following the game’s success, the South Korean-Japanese game publisher says a “steady cadence of content updates” — much like the shooter’s new 1.15.0 update — and expanding the game’s Western presence will help maintain player interest.

While Nexon says ARC Raiders was the no. 1 driver of regional revenue, the publisher’s free-to-play side-scrolling MMORPG MapleStory also saw renewed interest. MapleStory, Nexon’s longstanding online role-playing game, set quarterly earnings records in the West. As interest in the publisher’s 20-year-old MMO surges, Nexon says its performance “demonstrates our ability to expand established franchises.”

Ultimately, ARC Raiders‘ performance in North America and Europe exceeded its Q4 2025 expectations.

ARC Raiders, by the numbers

Since its October 30 launch, ARC Raiders has maintained positions on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation’s bestsellers lists. At the time of writing, Steam data aggregator SteamDB shows ARC Raiders is no. 5 on the platform’s list of titles with the most daily active users (DAUs). The PvPvE shooter is also no. 11 on Steam’s list of top-selling games, and no. 16 in wishlist activity.

SteamDB figures show more than 126,000 users in-game at the time of writing, with ARC Raiders‘ 24-hour playership peaking at nearly 233,000. The game’s all-time concurrent player peak of about 482,000 came on Sunday, Nov. 16. When you remember these figures only account for PC players using Steam, these figures get even more impressive.

Going into Q1 2026, Nexon says it expects “record-breaking revenue with strong momentum across [its] portfolio.” The publisher expects year-on-year growth overall, with solid contributions from ARC Raiders and MapleStory. As for operating income, Nexon anticipates a year-on-year jump “driven by revenue increase.” However, the publisher expects “increased PG fees, royalty expenses, HR costs and marketing expenses” in Q1 2026. Nexon also expects year-over-year net income growth driven by higher operating income.

Nexon concluded its presentation with a tentative release date for its Q1 2026 financial results. The company’s financials will be published on Thursday, May 14, 2026. “Nexon management is scheduled to host an online earnings presentation for investors, analysts and the media on the same day,” the report closes. “Details of the online earnings presentation will be available on our IR website about a month prior to the release.”
