Goblinz Publishing’s tactical roguelike Sol Cesto officially launches into Version 1.0 today, departing Early Access after nearly a year. The surreal, hand-drawn roguelike first hit Steam on May 27, 2025; now, some 70,000 copies sold and 170,000 wishlist additions later, Steam users can enjoy the full game’s new content and enhancements. Sol Cesto, a gobsmacking combo of strategy, uncertainty, and urgency, pulls players into an unforgiving underworld in search of a long-lost sun.
Sol Cesto developers Géraud Zucchini and Chariospirale took to Steam earlier this week to thank the title’s dedicated players for their continued interest and constructive feedback. “We are happy to announce the full release date for Sol Cesto,” the sincere post starts. “We can’t thank you enough for staying with us throughout this very shaping Early Access development. Your feedback has been invaluable from bug reports to balance suggestions, every comment helped shape the game into what it is today. You’ve explored our dungeons, faced our bosses, and pushed the game to its limits. We couldn’t have done it without you. Version 1.0 will be released with improvements, new content, and all the polish your feedback made possible. We can’t wait for you to see it. Thank you for believing in Sol Cesto. ‘Sol Cesto’ departs Early Access, introduces new content in Version 1.0
In Sol Cesto, a “tactical and frantic roguelite where mastering your luck is key,” daring cave-dwellers pick a playable hero they’ll strategically buff and enchant while journeying to the dangerous and unpredictable dungeon awaiting those bold (and careful!) enough to make it.
The game’s launch-day experience, however, introduces an all-new ending, reworked player progression including character upgrade paths, a brand-new user interface (UI), and more. New players won’t note the game’s more subtle visual enhancements and content changes, but gamers who got into Sol Cesto during its time in Early Access will find special screens, a cinematic introduction, improved item interactions, and other reworked elements.
