Longstanding comic book franchise and Amazon live-action superhero satire The Boys is getting its first dedicated video game adaptation. According to a new Variety report, the gritty supe-centered series will get the virtual reality (VR) treatment in The Boys: Trigger Warning. The stealth-action VR title, produced by Arvore and published by Sony Pictures Virtual Reality, will fly onto Meta Quest 3 and PlayStation VR2 rigs sometime in Spring 2026. Though the game’s official release date remains up in the air (no pun intended), there’s a chance its launch will coincide with the show’s fifth and final season, which premieres on Amazon Prime Video on April 8, 2026.
The VR game is already available to pre-order via the Meta Quest storefront for $23.99. Additionally, PlayStation VR2 users can add The Boys: Trigger Warning to their wishlists via the PlayStation Store.
About ‘The Boys: Trigger Warning’

“We’re thrilled to reveal The Boys: Trigger Warning,” reads the developer’s YouTube blurb. “This new story lets you fight alongside Butcher, M.M., and Kimiko while unleashing unstable Supe abilities to survive Vought’s deadliest secrets. Developed with the creators and featuring cast from the original show, this is The Boys brought to life like never before. Welcome to The Boys like you’ve never experienced it.” Does it come with free detritus?
Players take on the role of an unnamed, unwitting avatar who stumbles onto a Vought secret that turns a family gathering into a grotesque nightmare. Gamers must fight fire with fire, and if the comics or show have taught viewers anything, that means becoming a full-fledged “Supe.” In true franchise form, players must exact some seriously grotesque revenge with a blend of standard combat and stealth elements. What’s more, the show’s cast will reprise their roles in a whole new medium. Find Laz Alonso (Mother’s Milk), Colby Minifie (Ashley Barrett), P.J. Byrne (Adam Bourke), and Supernatural‘s Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy), the latter of whom will portray an all-new game-specific iteration of the character.
