Uh-oh! Best Buy might’ve just accidentally revealed the Nintendo Switch 2 price

With millions of excited Nintendo fans sitting idly while they await tomorrow’s presentation, it’s unsurprising that antsy Googling might’ve just wrought an unwitting reveal. However, it’s April 1st, so gamers should take any eye-popping news with a grain of salt.

While global video game brand Nintendo’s latest Direct goes live in less than 24 hours, that didn’t stop electronics retailer Best Buy from updating its website to include what looks like a listing for the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 console.

Reddit user /u/Tac0Man identified the brand’s slip in a new post. It seems Best Buy shoppers can conduct a speedy Google search for the handheld and not even have to scroll to find what might be a sneak peek of the device’s price.

My search revealed the same results:

With the looming threat of tariffs that’ll likely impact imported consumer electronics, $349.99 is considerably lower than I anticipated. Wonky formatting or a glitch might have assigned this listing-in-waiting a premature price; the retailer has another console, the Nintendo Switch OLED, available for $349.99.

Nintendo has spent the better part of 2025 generating consumer hype for its newest console, offering a very superficial glimpse of the handheld device in early January.

The video included little more than close-ups of cosmetic features, like improved JoyCon-to-; the device’s specs haven’t been revealed, though gamers can likely count on more console deets during tomorrow’s Direct.

Fans can find out more concrete console news tomorrow on Nintendo’s YouTube channel. The presentation, which sources say will run for about an hour, will begin at 9:00 a.m. EST.
