Sam Fisher’s third outing is often considered the best in the series. With its tight level design, advanced gadgets, and a perfect balance of action and stealth, Chaos Theory delivers a polished espionage experience. Few stealth games do it better than Splinter Cell. The co-op mode is just the cherry on top.

Dishonored is a modern classic and a personal favorite of mine.

This cyberpunk RPG stealth hybrid lets players approach situations in countless ways. Sneak through vents, hack security systems, or go in guns blazing—the choice is yours. It has one of the most detailed stealth systems, with a lot of obstacles for the player to overcome. Its deep narrative and player freedom are really where the game shines. This is a pure gem that all stealth RPG fans should play at least once.

The third entry in the Sly Cooper series is a stealth platformer with charm and style. Sly’s heists are packed with clever puzzles, tight gameplay, and a lovable cast of characters. It’s a lighter take on stealth, but it’s no less enjoyable. The game’s vibrant art style and witty dialogue make every mission feel like you are playing one of your favorite cartoons.
Tenchu: Stealth Assassins
Before Sekiro, there was Tenchu. This PS1 classic is the OG ninja stealth game. Its focus on stealth, brutal kills, and atmospheric levels make it a nostalgic favorite for fans of the genre. The game’s emphasis on patience and precision, like timing your strikes or using tools like smoke bombs and grappling hooks, set the standard for ninja stealth games.
Alien: Isolation
While it leans more into survival horror, Alien: Isolation is stealth at its most tense. You’re just trying to survive the Xenomorph. While trying to hide from the Xenomorph, you will also run into robots along the way, making it more challenging to be quiet. Every move matters and the constant fear of being hunted makes it an unforgettable experience.
Assassin’s Creed II
Ezio Auditore’s journey through Renaissance Italy is an unforgettable adventure. With its parkour mechanics, hidden blade kills, and rich historical setting, Assassin’s Creed II perfected the blend of action and stealth. The improved mechanics made Assassin’s Creed II feel light years ahead of the first game.
