Mario Kart World‘s plethora of unlockables adds an extra layer for completionist fans. Players can find various quirky, new-to-franchise ‘fits available for core characters — Mario, Luigi, and the usual suspects — hidden throughout the game’s more exploration-friendly courses.
It’s tough to narrow the vast selection down to just a few cuties, but I managed. Here, I’ll show you my favorite of all delightful duds and let you know exactly where you can pick ’em up and expand your main’s wardrobe.
Wario: ‘Road Ruffian’

Nintendo nailed this one, and the bike chain really drives it home.
Wario really balls out in his “Road Ruffian” threads, complete with mohawk helmet, spiked accessories, and, of course, that weasely grin. He’s up to something, if history is any indication, but it’s hard to be mad when bro looks so good.
Find Wario’s “Road Ruffian” gear at DK Spaceport and Koopa Troopa Beach. Just swing by Yoshi’s and grab your DK Drink! A Fruit Bowl at DK Spaceport will work, too.
Mario: ‘Sightseeing’

(a la tour guide) And if you look to your right, you’ll see one mustachioed plumber lookin’ mighty fresh.
Mario ditched his go-to suspenders for a beachy look! The “Sightseeing” look comprises a backwards cap, shades, an unbuttoned shirt, jorts, and bright yellow flip-flops. Either we’re about to take the podium or head to Spring Break, and frankly, I’m in either way.
Pick up a Pizza at Koopa Troopa Beach, Crown City, or Salty Salty Speedway for this summertime look.
Luigi: ‘Gondolier’

Presented without comment.
Really, though, Luigi’s “Gondolier” gear makes it look like the moon’s about to hit his eye like a big pizza pie. Silly but sweet, just like the Luigi we’ve all come to know and love.
A Fruit Bowl at DK Spaceport or Pizza from Koopa Troopa Beach, Crown City, or Salty Salty Speedway will quickly get you rowboat-ready.

Waluigi: ‘Biker’

Waluigi’s smarmy, “dastardly villain” look was overdue for an upgrade, and this “Biker” look does the trick. The pose is giving West Side Story, so rid those rolled-up sleeves of cigarettes before hittin’ the gas.
Waluigi’s “Biker” is unlocked with one Burger at Mario Bros. Circuit.
Toad: ‘Engineer’

Toad adds a little elbow grease with his “Engineer” gear. Classic pinstripe apparel, red kerchief, oil stains, and the cap to, well, cap it all off. All aboard!
Snag Toad’s ‘Engineer’ look with an order of Spicy Chips or Canned Coffee at Whistlestop Summit or Toad’s Factory.
Pauline: ‘Aero’

Pauline’s ONLY outfit ate and left no crumbs, respectfully, and we’re all better for it.
Trademark dark-brown tresses and a gold-trimmed slim-fit bodysuit? Despite the outfits doing nothing for driver stats, I swear Pauline’s “Aero” ‘fit makes me feel faster.
Pick up Pauline’s only unlockable gear with a burger at Mario Bros. Circuit, Donuts at Mario Circuit or Peach Stadium, or a frozen treat at Sky-High Sundae.
King Boo: ‘Aristocrat’

King Boo looks more royal than ever in his “Aristocrat” outfit, available with Pizza at Koopa Troopa Beach, Crown City, or Salty Salty Speedway. You can also pick this one up with Popcorn at Boo Cinema.
Monocle- and bow tie-clad Boo looks like he’s about to raise my rent, but he’s still a cutie.
Birdo: ‘Vacation’

No egg projectiles here, only vibes.
Birdo’s ready for a beach day in her whimsical warm-weather wardrobe. Big-brimmed hat, flowy sundress, lengthy lashes, and, of course, that big ol’ ring she’s always showing off.
“Vacation,” one of only two available alternate looks for Birdo, requires a Takoyaki, Taiyaki, or Sushi Box from Cheep Cheep Falls.
Shy Guy: ‘Pit Crew’

One of my faves! Shy Guy’s looking a little less shy in his ‘Pit Crew’ garb, complete with striped uniform and headset. Bro is built for speed, it seems.
Shy Guy’s “Pit Crew” costume comes with a single Burger from Yoshi’s drive-thru at Mario Bros. Circuit.
Bowser: ‘Supercharged’

Probably the coolest overall look, Bowser’s “Supercharged” look can be acquired with some Spicy Chips or Canned Coffee from Yoshi’s window at Whistlestop Summit or Toad’s Factory.
This fire-breathin’ baddie looks better than ever, if you ask me!
