Indie RPG and critical darling Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has officially secured an impressive position in the PlayStation Store.
The runaway smash hit, released just 11 days ago, is now the PlayStation Store’s highest user-rated original IP.
At the time of writing, the role-playing game averages a 4.91 score out of 5, based on more than 15,000 unique player reviews. Fan-issued five-star rankings comprise a whopping 96% of gamer reviews.
In a new blog post, PlayStation also broke down its top 10 downloads from April 2025.
Despite Expedition 33 only being available to players for the last few days of the month, it still soared to No. 6 in the United States and Canada. In the E.U., Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 secured the No. 4 spot.
On review aggregator Metacritic, Sandfall Interactive’s RPG holds a 92 out of 100 across 66 critic reviews.
All in all, 2025 is shaping up to be exciting for gamers and studios; the list also features Hazelight and EA’s much-loved Split Fiction, a revolutionary 3D co-op platformer released on March 6.
Split Fiction‘s already getting the silver-screen treatment, with Euphoria and The White Lotus actress Sydney Sweeney set to star.
