Everything you missed from PlayStation’s State of Play

On Wednesday, September 24, PlayStation aired its latest State of Play. The presentation, despite just being a little over half an hour in runtime, was bursting with new extended gameplay trailers, announcements, reveals, new peripherals, and more. From anime RPGs and remasters of classics to world premiere spots, PlayStation’s stream was pretty darn solid. The showcase aired in the U.S. yesterday at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET, so if you were commuting or working and couldn’t tune in, we’ve got you covered. Take a look at all the new games and other surprises shown in yesterday’s PlayStation State of Play here:

Saros

The Saros team gave fans their first-ever peek at extended gameplay yesterday during PlayStation’s State of Play presentation. The clip shows the game’s protagonist, Arjun Devraj (Midnight Mass‘ Rahul Kohli), as he explores the hostile, Lovecraftian world of  Carcosa. In the 16 hours since its reveal, the cerebral and cinematic trailer has already been viewed an eye-watering 370,000 times.

The Saros crew also released the game’s PS5/PS5 Pro release date: March 20, 2026.

Zero Parades for Dead Spies

From the makers of revolutionary RPG Disco Elysium comes Zero Parades – For Dead Spies. The all-new isometric title takes place in a downtrodden metropolis and follows Hershel Wilk, a one-time spy who gets pulled back into the city’s seedy underbelly. Though no tentative arrival date was given during the State of Play, the segment said Zero Parades would arrive sometime in 2026.

Gran Turismo 7 – SPEC III

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

“The Microsoft Flight Simulator franchise has delighted pilots and simmers for over four decades, and we are incredibly proud to bring this amazing experience to PlayStation for the first time,” reads the related PlayStation Blog entry. “Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is the world’s most advanced consumer flight simulator offering an unprecedented level of realism and authenticity.” According to the presentation, a VR version is also in development.

Battlefield 6

Halloween: The Game

John Carpenter’s Halloween is, somehow, getting even more unsettling. A new asymmetrical sandbox horror from studio Illfonic is on the way. With the game’s 1v4 asymmetrical format, a single player controls horror icon Michael Myers. The other gamers must escape Haddonfield unscathed. As Myers, players can utilize special abilities to take down the others; as civilians, sneak about and lead other innocent townsfolk to safety with lootable gear. Halloween: The Game hits retailers on Sept. 8, 2026.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is here! The vivid kart racer launches today, September 25, but the game’s spot in the State of Play comprised some gameplay footage as well as a glimpse at all-new Mega-Man crossover DLC heading to the game early next year. Mario Kart WHO?!

Let It Die: Inferno is coming to PS5 on December 3, 2025. The roguelite survival-action game is the third entry in the Let It Die IP, and builds on the series’ bizarre dystopia. In the upcoming release, players become immortal explorers, called “Raiders.” Dual-wield weapons, unlock new abilities, fend off unwelcome visitors, and ultimately try to quell chaos in an intense PvEvP environment.

Crimson Desert

Marvel’s Wolverine

Australian actor Liam McIntyre is donning Logan’s iconic claws in Marvel’s Wolverine, a gritty game adaptation that tells the story of the beloved comic book antihero. In a behind-the-scenes clip, Macintyre says the role is “one of the coolest things [he’s] ever gotten to do.”

Check out the VERY NSFW trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine here (but I suggest doing it after lunch). Marvel’s Wolverine slices its way onto PlayStation 5 consoles in Fall 2026, though the studio says you can expect more info in Spring 2026.
