Capcom is opening its very first branded pop-up shop in the United States this weekend. The Capcom Store Pop-Up will make its debut this Saturday, September 19, with a public grand opening in Little Akihabara in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles.
Fans stateside will get first dibs on Capcom Store-exclusive items from the brand’s beloved game franchises, including Resident Evil, Mega Man, Monster Hunter, and so many more.
The pop-up shop is just that, so unfortunately, it won’t stay open for long. Shoppers can stop by the Capcom Store Pop-Up until it winds down next month; the shop will remain open for biz through Sunday, October 18.
From branded graphic tees and irresistible plushes (Mega Man looks SO soft) to fun replicas of in-game items, players in the States will see fun merchandise from their favorite franchises on store shelves for the first time.
The Capcom Store Pop-Up experience also promises photo ops aplenty, with life-size statues of fan-favorite characters from the Street Fighter and Mega Man franchises.
Alongside the near-incomprehensible number of character- and IP-inspired merchandise options, charms, the pop-up shop will also feature additional playable demos of Capcom’s latest releases.
Capcom’s got more surprises up its sleeve, too. As a special fan experience, a handful of pop-up shop attendees who stop by this weekend will have the chance to play Mega Man: Dual Override, the newest installment in the iconic Mega Man franchise.
This’ll be the very first public demo of Dual Override to hit the States. Participation will be extremely limited throughout the weekend, so plan accordingly.
The first 50 shoppers to swing by on September 19 and September 20 will also leave with a limited-edition Capcom x Tokyo Game Show handkerchief.
