Capcom released Monster Hunter Wilds less than one month ago, and the team is already rallying fans for its first post-launch update. The massively popular RPG is bringing back recognizable faces and all-new content that’s sure to amplify the game’s multiplayer capabilities.
A new PlayStation blog post details updates coming with the release of Title Update 1, the bulk of which is slated for release on April 4. The long-running IP will add content for every kind of player, from open-world explorers to more competitive players.
The most anticipated addition? Monster Hunter Wilds‘ Grand Hub. This nod to a time-honored franchise tradition allows players to connect in a cohesive, communal space. This addition allows for a more social gameplay experience. With this update, nostalgic gamers can crush more palico chef grub in group meals. Players can also take part in new camp-exclusive minigames, like arm wrestling and bowling, for added fun as well as helpful in-game rewards.
Moreover, campers can relish seasonal celebrations, like the cherry blossom-rich “Festival of Accord: Blossomdance,” heading to campsites on April 23.
Hunting for more? Players who are able to link their Capcom ID to their platform of choice can rake in resources, including an Item Pack. Swag includes healing goodies aplenty, potions, and much more.
While campsite facelifts are fun, the return of familiar franchise faces comprise the update’s meat and potatoes.
Mizutsune and Zoh Shia will head back to Monster Hunter with highly anticipated weaponry and armor in tow. Additionally, merciless monster Rey Dau will appear in one of the title’s upcoming Event Quests and Challenge Quests, which become available to players on the update’s launch day. While Dau isn’t dropping on update day, eager beavers can square up with it on April 30.
Capcom laid out additional quest info in a new post, saying players can participate in new weekly quests every Wednesday.
Capcom assures hunters that Monster Hunter Wilds‘ Title Update 2 will arrive sometime over the summer. Though specific dates have not yet been revealed, these delicious downloads are sure to sate the appetites of hunters in the meantime.
