Nintendo has revealed it will hold a special showcase for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The film-focused Nintendo Direct presentation will air on Nintendo’s YouTube channel this Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025. Nintendo shared news of the upcoming showcase via its social media channels as well as its exclusive Nintendo Today! smart-device application. Nintendo of America’s post on X (formerly Twitter) teases the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie‘s first official trailer.

“Join us on Wednesday, Nov 12, at 6am PT for the Nintendo Direct featuring the world premiere of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie official trailer,” Nintendo’s X post reads before reiterating the presentation’s focal point. “Please note that no game information will be included in this presentation.” Fans first saw the reveal in a September 2025 Nintendo Direct, which also included the film’s tentative release date of April 3, 2026.
Nintendo’s livestream announcements typically contain references to their runtime, but this one leaves fans wondering. If you’re hoping to watch the entire presentation as it airs, I recommend setting aside at least 30 minutes to do so.
Nintendo Today! App Announces Direct
Nintendo Today! App users with visible notifications likely saw the short-‘n-sweet banner announcing the upcoming presentation. The brand’s free Nintendo Today! smartphone app primarily serves as a news hub and calendar companion, but Nintendo has increasingly utilized the medium to drop headline-making news since its debut earlier this year.
“Tune in on Wednesday, November 12, for a livestreamed The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct 11.12.2025 presentation,” Nintendo’s app update reads. The app then allows users to input the aforementioned date and time directly into their smartphone’s calendar app with a click.

Tune into Wednesday’s The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Nintendo Direct presentation when it airs at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET. Stay glued to Outrun Gaming and Nintendo of America’s social media accounts for more information as it becomes available.
