On Thursday, Nintendo held its latest Direct presentation, showcasing upcoming indie titles coming to the brand’s Switch and Switch 2 systems. The mini-stream lasted only 15 minutes, but was jam-packed with compelling and diverse downloads players can soon find in the Nintendo eShop.

Little Kitty, Big City

Little Kitty, Big City first pounced onto the Nintendo Switch in May 2024, but with this all-new update, your pawed protagonist can don unique hats, meet new characters in unexplored parts of town, and pose for pictures in an enhanced Photo Mode. Cats can also get a makeover — altered fur colors, coat patterns, eye changes, and more — with the game’s new kitty customization tools.

The latest Little Kitty, Big City update has no firm release date; fans can expect the new update sometime this year.

Mina the Hollower

Lead titular Hollower, Mina, on a high-stakes journey through a cursed island on a desperate rescue mission. Burrow your way through a super-spooky world bursting with creepy monsters, daunting hazards, cool collectibles, and valuable gear. The platformer boasts gripping pixel graphics, adrenaline-pumping gameplay, beastly bosses, and infectious audio.

Mina the Hollower, from the devs behind Shovel Knight, launches on Nintendo Switch 2 and the OG Nintendo Switch this Halloween, October 31.

Is This Seat Taken?

With nothing but a matchstick, Glimmer journeys into a woozy, fairy tale-like landscape full of quirky characters and fearsome foes. Pick up tchochkes on your journey to upgrade Glimmer’s abilities, solve puzzles, discover secrets, and more when Well Dweller launches on Nintendo Switch in 2026.

Ultimate Sheep Raccoon

“Build the most chaotic bike-racing courses with friends as a cast of silly barnyard animals in Ultimate Sheep Raccoon – the spiritual successor to the wild party platformer Ultimate Chicken Horse. In this party game, you can add obstacles, ramps and dangerous traps, then crash your way to the finish line while collecting power-ups, dodging hazards and pulling off sick tricks. Choose from returning critters like Chicken, Horse, Sheep and Raccoon, or meet a new crew of barnyard buddies, and engage in races for up to eight players locally and online. You can even build your own levels, share them online and put together custom playlists.” (per Nintendo news release)

Ultimate Sheep Raccoon launches on Nintendo Switch 2 consoles and the OG Nintendo Switch handheld this winter.

BALL x PIT

Get to baddie-beatin’, brick-bustin’, ball-fusin’, and base-buildin’ in BALL x PIT. This roguelite lets players expand their bases, forage for resources, and call on unique heroes to help their quest to rebuild Ballbylon. Beat enemies to a pulp with well-timed ricochets, utilize more than 60 unique balls, and form combinations that’ll cement your win.

BALL x PIT rolls onto Nintendo Switch on October 15, though the version for Nintendo Switch 2 has no set arrival date. According to the Direct, it’s due for the new hardware sometime this fall.

Content Warning

In Content Warning, a co-op horror game for two to four players, you’ll explore the monster-filled depths of the Old World, with the goal of trying to film enough scary stuff to become famous. Every run takes place across three days and the more frightening footage you capture, the more you’ll go viral. Manage to escape with your content (and friends) intact and get ready to rake in the ad revenue!” (per Nintendo news release)

Content Warning will creep onto Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch sometime in 2026.

Neverway

UFO 50
