Global gaming and entertainment giant Nintendo announced on Tuesday that it will broadcast its latest Indie World Showcase later this week. The company announced the upcoming showcase in new social media posts and in its Nintendo Today! smart-device app.
“Tune in on October 28 at 7:00 a.m. PT for a livestreamed Indie World Showcase 10.28.2026 presentation,” the in-app announcement says before adding that “[t]he presentation will last approximately 15 minutes.”
The company’s post on X (formerly Twitter) says the broadcast will include “new announcements and updates on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch,” which is good news for owners of the original handheld.

Nintendo’s most recent game presentations aired early last month, with one Direct showcase on September 8 and another the following day. The first featured 30 minutes of The Legend of Zelda anniversary-related news, while the second dedicated 45 minutes to highlighting Nintendo Switch 2 games launching this winter.
But unlike Nintendo’s Direct presentations, Indie World showcases exclusively feature new and upcoming Nintendo Switch games from independent studios. The last Indie World Showcase aired on March 3, bringing “news and updates on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.”
The 18-minute showcase — still available on Nintendo of America’s YouTube channel — used its runtime wisely, featuring 18 indie games including Denshattack!, Woodo, Mixtape, Ratatan, and more.
