Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is hosting its latest PlayStation State of Play showcase tomorrow, September 24. The company’s Content Communications Director, Brett Elston, shared an all-new press release via the PlayStation Blog. “Tune in live this Wednesday for more than 35 minutes of reveals and news from developers around the world,” the post starts. According to SIE, the presentation will comprise news, reveals, and more intimate looks at anticipated releases.
The showcase will air beginning at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET/11 p.m. CEST. For those in Japan Standard Time, the State of Play broadcast will kick off at 6 a.m. on September 25.
The release continues, but stays pretty mum about what’s to come:
“We’ll share new looks at anticipated third-party and indie titles, plus updates from some of our teams at PlayStation Studios – including an extended look at Saros, Housemarque’s mysterious new title arriving next year. Look forward to nearly five minutes of gameplay captured on PS5.
“The next State of Play begins September 24 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 11pm CEST | September 25 at 6am JST on YouTube and Twitch, and will be broadcast in English with Japanese subtitles also available. See you then!”
PlayStation‘s announcement includes some pertinent information for those hoping to co-stream the event or otherwise incorporate its contents:
“Please note that this broadcast may include copyrighted content (e.g. licensed music) that PlayStation does not control. We welcome and celebrate our amazing co-streamers and creators, but licensing agreements outside our control could interfere with co-streams or VOD archives of this broadcast. If you’re planning to save this broadcast as a VOD to create recap videos, or to repost clips or segments from the show, we advise omitting any copyrighted music.”
News of the State of Play presentation arrives amid an already-stacked industry event schedule. RGG Summit 2025, a broadcast event from Like a Dragon studio Ryu Ga Gotoku, airs tonight, September 23, at 8 p.m. PT/11 p.m. ET. A new RGG Direct presentation will immediately follow the Summit. The colossal Tokyo Game Show begins on Thursday, September 25, and continues through Sunday, September 28.
