Forza Horizon 6 closed the show by announcing that the beloved open world racing series will return in 2026, this time taking players to the breathtaking landscapes of Japan. A teaser trailer gave us callbacks to each of the previous games, before giving us a taste of the gorgeous new world we’ll be exploring – with Mount Fuji dominating a landscape that includes serene waters and urban environments, as cherry blossoms flutter on the breeze.” (per Xbox Wire)

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

All-new Japanese multiplayer maps are coming to Black Ops 7. The new Toshin map “offers a look at 2035 Tokyo, combining well-defined lanes and some really fun set pieces – including a cat cafe, a karaoke bar, and a crashed train.” Meanwhile, the Den, “set in the countryside outside Tokyo … centers around a Japanese castle that’s been repurposed as a Guild base.” (per Xbox Wire)

Dive into the new maps when they hit Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on November 14. The Early Access Beta starts on October 2, and the Open Beta kicks off on October 5.

In Double Dragon Revive, players can now move from Story Mode to the formidable Extra Mode. The new Mode will test players’ chops across dozens of new missions. If you manage to make it through in one piece, you can unlock some new, character-specific episodes. Got a Player 2 nearby? They can join, too, with the game’s two-player co-op (online or local). Double Dragon Revive launches October 23.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024‘s new World Update 20: Japan adds 23 new photogrammetry areas spanning more than 12,000 miles. Soar over Japanese cities like Kyoto, Osaka, Sapporo, and Tokyo, take flight from intricate airports, and visit nearly 70 new points of interest. In addition to World Update 20: Japan, the new Local Legend — the Nihon Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation (NAMC) YS-11 — was introduced.

World Update 20: Japan is a freebie for all MFS ’20 and ’24 players, while the NAMC YS-11 can be found in the in-game marketplace for $20.

However, Agent 47’s latest mission adds a high-stakes spin: he must protect the covert Agent Lee, “who has infiltrated the tournament that doubles as a recruitment tool and cover for leadership meetings of Concord Union. Lee must not only win but also earn the final prize: a duel with the Union’s elusive leader – The Dragon Head.” According to Xbox, the mission is playable for free from September 25 to November 20.
