Six One Indie is summoning all indie game fans to its independent games-focused presentation next week.
In a new press release, Six One Indie revealed its biannual Showcase will air on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025. The special presentation will offer gamers an exclusive look at world premieres, teasers, and gameplay from beloved independent publishers and underdog dev teams. The 72-minute-long Showcase kicks off at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET on Six One Indie’s YouTube and Twitch channels, but fans who tune in 10 minutes early can glimpse the presentation’s bite-sized Pre-Show.
Over on YouTube, Six One’s blurb explains a bit about what viewers can expect next Thursday: “Join us on September 18th starting at 8:50AM PT / 11:50AM ET for the Six One Indie Showcase, featuring never-before-seen world premieres, digital showcase debuts, and exclusive news from 47 indie developers and publishers. Expect the first look at the brand-new game from ORIGAME DIGITAL, the gameplay reveal for Lil Gator Game: In the Dark, and much more. Once the Showcase wraps up, explore the Six One Indie Showcase Steam Event all weekend long for exclusive demos, discounts, and even more wishlist-worthy indies,” the label teases.
Per Six One’s release, it will first spotlight “7 overlooked indie gems released earlier in the year,” while the core Showcase boasts “a carefully curated selection of 40 upcoming games.” If a title piques your interest, head over to Six One Indie’s post-show Steam event for game demos and special event pricing on full downloads. Among myriad other surprises, the upcoming stream will feature:
- The world premiere of the brand new game from Umurangi Generation developer ORIGAME DIGITAL
- Gameplay from cozy game sequel Lil Gator Game: In the Dark, first revealed in January 2025
- First looks at new drops from Super Rare Originals and Blumhouse Games
Next week’s event is the second of two Showcases this year. The official May 2025 stream pulled 80,000 viewers, while nearly 1 million others tuned in via content creators’ co-streams, reaction videos, and fresh game trailers.
Six One Indie, a self-billed “grassroots collective” founded in 2018, held its very first self-titled Showcase in 2022. Earlier this year, the team launched its own indie publishing label.
The team is also behind the annual Indie Game Awards, with the 2025 event scheduled for sometime in December. Have a game to nominate? Six One is still taking submissions for would-be award recipients through 11:59 p.m. ET on September 30. In its earnest effort to platform meaningful works from human creators, Six One Indie says that “[g]ames developed using generative AI are strictly ineligible for nomination.”
