Fans of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater franchise may finally be able to exhale after days of speculation. Just a few days ago, pro skater Tyshawn Jones sat with Charlamagne tha God on iHeartRadio’s “The Breakfast Club” talk show, teasing his inclusion in an upcoming THPS title. But a new post on X (formerly Twitter) and some vagueposting from a familiar face seemingly confirm fans’ hopes.

The X post from user @charlieINTEL contains a still image from Black Ops 6‘s skate shop-themed Grind multiplayer map that reveals an exciting Easter egg. Without context, even initiated gamers might not see what the fuss is about. But take a look at the figures shown on the out-of-focus digital display — the screen reads “03.04.25,” a possible date positioned just under the original Tony Hawk Pro Skater logo.

Adding to the adrenaline rush, the extreme sports franchise’s namesake snuck into the replies, dropping a singular glancing eyeball emoji. The left-facing eyes, commonly used to convey piqued interest or draw attention to something, told X users all they needed to know. Would-be skaters everywhere hope the rumored remasters ollie into Xbox’s Game Pass service sooner rather than later, but “later” appears to be just around the corner.

Though the skateboarding legend coyly confirmed new content is on the horizon, there’s been no confirmation as to what. The first two titles in the long-running franchise got commercially and critically successful facelifts in 2020, but it’s been radio silence since. Fans’ fingers are crossed for a return to the third and fourth entries, but they’re ready to drop in and S-K-A-T-E, come what may.
