Feel that chill in the air? (I know it’s 80°, just humor me) Halloween is on the horizon, and Insider Gaming is ushering in October with its first-ever 28 Games Later: A Horror Showcase.
The new event will spotlight horror and suspense games and feature “upcoming games from a variety of developers and studios, with new reveals, announcements, exclusive gameplay, and updates on some of the most exciting horror games currently in development.”
The outlet announced its horror showcase earlier this year, saying an influx of spooky submissions to its debut Insider Gaming Showcase in May inspired the idea.
“When we announced our debut showcase for May and opened submissions, we were surprised by the number of horror and suspense games sent in,” wrote Insider Gaming Executive Editor Mike Straw. “In fact, over 30% of the games we received fell into that category. So, we wanted to give those games a chance in the spotlight. That’s why we’re proud to announce: Insider Gaming Presents 28 Games Later: A Horror Showcase.”
But unlike the indie-forward Insider Gaming Showcase, Straw said the horror showcase will “feature games from teams of all sizes.”
“From small indie games to larger AA and AAA titles, we aim to bring you a look at the best upcoming and recently released horror and suspense games.”
Insider Gaming is also encouraging content creators to co-stream the 28 Games Later showcase live as it airs. The outlet announced a giveaway on X, encouraging co-streamers and viewers to tune in for a chance to win one of 28 special Elgato bundles containing a Wave:3 Mic, Stream Deck Mini, and Facecam.
Viewers, be sure to write “#28GamesLater” in the comments; co-streamers should include the “#28GamesLater” hashtag in their broadcast title.
