LEGO Group announces first-ever LEGO Pokemon sets

Gotta build ’em all! On Monday, The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company revealed they’ve joined forces to create the very first LEGO Pokémon sets. Officially announced on the LEGO and Pokémon websites, the collaboration will (finally) bring buildable “pocket monsters” to collectors and franchise fans worldwide. The first launch on Feb. 27, 2026, will (re)introduce five fan faves — Pikachu, Eevee, Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard — as intricate LEGO brick buddies.

Siddharth Muthyala, Design Director on LEGO Pokémon, celebrated the collaboration in the company’s latest news release. “As a lifelong Pokémon fan,” Muthyala said, “it’s been an incredible honour to help bring these Pokémon to life in LEGO brick form for the first time. Pokémon has inspired generations of fans around the world, so our team approached the design of these sets with immense care and passion, ensuring every detail and pose truly celebrates what makes these characters so beloved. I hope fans will love building them, as much as we did designing them.”

LEGO® Pokémon™ Pikachu and Poké Ball (Product No.: 72152) features the recognizable, rosy-cheeked Pikachu popping out of a Poké Ball, primed and ready for battle. The set contains 2,050 individual pieces, including a black-and-yellow lightning bolt-shaped base featuring the number “25,” a nod to Pikachu’s Pokédex number. The Pikachu and Poke Ball set measures about 13.5 inches tall, 10.5 inches wide, and 15.5 inches deep.

LEGO® Pokémon™ Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise (Product No.: 72153), the colossal display set featuring all three iconic creatures, is already among the LEGO Group’s largest-ever display sets. The full set contains a whopping 6,838 pieces, but the detailed LEGO creations can be displayed separately, too. The set’s Action Base allows the trio to sit side-by-side and features Easter eggs for Pokémon fans to uncover as they build. The trio, when fully assembled, measures over 20 inches tall, 21 inches wide, and 14 inches in length.

LEGO® Pokémon™ Eevee (Product No.: 72151) comprises 587 pieces and measures over 7.5 inches tall, 6 inches wide, and 8.5 inches deep. Eevee’s adorable smile and poseable extremities allow LEGO builders to arrange Eevee in a friendly or fight-ready stance.

All three LEGO sets are rated 18+, a distinction the brand usually assigns to black-box sets with small pieces and a more challenging assembly. However, the brand’s Build Together app allows younger builders to join their parents or guardians by providing in-depth, approachable instructions for each set.

The new LEGO Pokémon sets, available for pre-order beginning today on LEGO.com/Pokemon and Pokémon Center. The Eevee set is listed at $59.99, while the Pikachu and Poke Ball set is listed at $199.99. The Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise set is listed on the website for $649.99. U.S. customers can pre-order the Venusaur/Charizard/Blastoise trio from PokémonCenter.com and receive a LEGO Pokémon Kanto Region Badge Collection as a complimentary gift.
