Get ready, choom. After the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game‘s record-setting Kickstarter campaign and successful commercial launch, Cyberpunk 2077 developer-publisher CD PROJEKT RED and TCG label WeirdCo have announced the game’s first official expansion.
The new expansion set — Edgerunners: Burn Bright — is expected to launch sometime in Spring 2027.
The new Edgerunners: Burn Bright expansion augments the existing Welcome to Night City TCG pack by bringing fan-favorite faces, weapons, cyberware, locations, and more directly from Netflix, TRIGGER, and CD PROJEKT RED’s beloved Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series.
In a news release, WeirdCo co-founder Elliot Cook said fan enthusiasm and positive feedback further incentivized the crew to make the game’s second set even more meaningful.
“The community reception to Cyberpunk TCG has been nothing short of incredible so far, so we want to deliver something even more exciting with Set 2,” Cook explained.
“Cyberpunk: Edgerunners provides us so many opportunities to evolve this game in meaningful ways, both mechanically and artistically, and we can’t wait to share that with players.”
Cyberpunk TCG Set 2 works in tandem with players’ existing decks
The Cyberpunk TCG is still super fresh, and although my experience is purely anecdotal, our time playing the game at industry events and expos has made it clear how many video game fans are making this TCG their first foray into competitive trading-card card games.
Players can utilize the new Edgerunners: Burn Bright card sets to expand their existing crews or, hey, even reassemble their deck from scratch. Pair your current favorites with brand-new Cyberpunk: Edgerunners-inspired cards comprising select series personalities.
WeirdCo says it will tease new cards and art in the coming months and unveil “new card mechanics that will feature heavily in Edgerunners: Burn Bright.”
Not the competition type? Even if you’re not in it for the eddies, you’ll still have fun! Card collectors and hardcore fans of the Cyberpunk IP will still find stunning, unique card artwork throughout the collection, from common cards to texture-rich, super-rare foils.
According to the latest news release from WeirdCo and CD PROJEKT RED, the upcoming Edgerunners: Burn Bright Set 2 will also include an “all-new chase rarity that will be fully revealed at a later date.”
“Edgerunners: Burn Bright will launch in English and French, with Chinese language support coming at a later date.”

The Edgerunners: Burn Bright set reveal isn’t the only good news for fans of the dystopian TCG.
Just one week before the Edgerunners: Burn Bright launch next spring, players will be able to explore the set and experiment with its offerings by swinging by their local hobby shop/TCG store.
Participate in pre-release tournaments, tear into new Edgerunners packs, “oooh” and “ahhh” to their heart’s content, and then, of course, tear their opponent to shreds.
