Lethal Wedding, set to release on Steam and the Sega Genesis (no, that’s not a typo) in early 2027, is getting a demo as part of Steam Next Fest.
Inspired by the retro classic Zombies Ate My Neighbors, a free demo is now available for players to enjoy through October 26th at 10:00 AM PT. Now’s your chance to rip through Lethal Wedding alone or with a friend through couch co-op as you shoot your way through a variety of over-the-top locales.
In total, Lethal Wedding features two female protagonists, who can be customized with over 25 upgrades. You’ll also have access to crazy weapons such as the Gun of Roses, Banana SMG, and more. In total, there are over 30 levels of chaotic carnage available to enjoy, including shoe stores, the circus, and even your own wedding.
Lethal Wedding is the latest entry from the Pittsburgh-based Mega Cat Studios. They’ve had a busy year with God of War Sons of Sparta and Backyard Baseball releasing earlier this year. In addition to Lethal Wedding, they are also working on a sequel to FNaF World.
Lethal Wedding recently finished a successful Kickstarter campaign

Mega Cat Studios.
Earlier this year, Lethal Wedding had a very successful Kickstarter campaign. $58,467 was raised on an original goal of $15,000 across 749 backers.
Two stretch goals were reached as part of the campaign, including the Bill Tiller special Key Art, a Kickstarter exclusive alternate box design and poster, as well as a deluxe CD Add-on featuring a soundtrack from Fatman and Team Fat.
Its Kickstarter campaign was a huge success, with the game reaching 200% of its funding goal within the first 24 hours. “We here at Mega Cat and the Lethal Wedding team are blown away by the support,” said Zack Manko, Head of Studio at Mega Cat Studios at the time. “Thank you to everyone for all the enthusiasm and for believing in Lethal Wedding. We look forward to seeing you Bride Hard soon!
There is one thing to note about the current build, per Mega Cat Studios: it’s an early version of the game that does “not have our gore and blood assets implemented yet, nor all the adjustments we’ve talked about on the previous dev updates.” When the full game launches, “the pixelated blood effects, flying limbs, and gameplay tweaks will be active immediately from the very first level during standard combat encounters.”
