GTA studio Rockstar Games, Miami Heat to host ‘A Night in Vice City’

NBA’s Miami Heat and Grand Theft Auto studio Rockstar Games are teaming up to host “A Night in Vice City,” a neat new theme night highlighting the much-anticipated launch of Grand Theft Auto VI.

The game will take place at Kaseya Center in Miami on Wednesday, November 18 — the night before Grand Theft Auto VI‘s global release.

The official NBA website shared the news in an exciting, neon-pink news release and on social media. “For one night only, the HEAT trade Miami for Vice City,” the team’s post on X (formerly Twitter) starts.

“Join us on November 18, when Vice City hosts the Milwaukee Bucks on a never-before-seen court, wearing an all-new uniform.”

When the Heat play the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, Nov. 18, the former will play as “Vice City,” bringing brand-new uniforms and themed “game programming and live elements” to the match. No uniform designs have been revealed just yet.

Kaseya Center, the Heat’s home court, will expand its ongoing Grand Theft Auto-themed makeover.

Kaseya Center saw new “Welcome to Vice City” signage illuminated on Thursday, Oct. 1, in a display that would make the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting blush, but according to the NBA’s announcement, teams will also “play on a special court” with “special hardwood built for Vice City.”

I don’t know what that means, but I love it!

The Miami Heat also launched a special Vice City merch as part of its signature Court Culture apparel line. Fans can find these items at all Miami HEAT Store locations and online exclusively at the official Miami Heat store.

The game will air nationally on ESPN, but audiences in South Florida can catch it on Local 10. For tickets to “A Night in Vice City,” head to HEAT.com/Tickets.
