One iced oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon, please! On Thursday, video game publisher Chorus Worldwide and indie developer Toge Productions officially launched Coffee Talk Tokyo, the long-awaited third installment in the cult cozy barista sim franchise.
Coffee Talk Tokyo, an interactive visual novel like its predecessors, puts players behind the counter of a quaint, open-late café where they’ll serve both human and supernatural inhabitants of a vibrant, neon-lit Tokyo. Across 15 in-game nights, players can masterfully mix matcha, mingle and connect with customers, and perfect new recipes, all while a new, stunning lo-fi soundtrack from composer Andrew “AJ” Jeremy adds ambiance to the adventure.
Fans familiar with the hit cozy game franchise will note some new additions in Coffee Talk Tokyo, including all-new clientele, the ability to craft iced drinks, and a new stencil tool that lets coffee-slingers zhuzh up bevs with adorable latte art. Players can also learn more about their patrons using “Tomodachill,” an in-game social system.

The cafe-set Coffee Talk franchise first got its start back in 2020, with Indonesia-based game studio Toge Productions launching on January 29 on consoles and PC. Six years later, the game boasts a “Very Positive” English-language review average on Steam, with more than 4,600 reviews.
Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly, hit systems on April 20, 2023, and maintains an “Overwhelmingly Positive” English-language review average on Steam thanks to more than 1,000 reviews.
Coffee Talk Tokyo available now for PC, consoles

Ready to start mixin’ matcha and rubbing elbows with customers? Pick up Coffee Talk Tokyo now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game’s Standard Edition is available for $14.99; pick up Coffee Talk Tokyo Deluxe Edition for $17.99. The latter includes a slick digital artbook, a City Pop soundtrack, and a special prologue chapter set in Seattle.
Good news for Nintendo Switch 2 players? The Nintendo Switch 2 version supports Joy-Con 2 mouse controls. Not-so-good news? There is no save data compatibility between Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions. There is also no additional content compatibility between versions.
