On Friday, indie game studio poncle launched the latest expansion for its hit action roguelike, Vampire Survivors, introducing a slew of all-new weapons and characters for users playing on PC, console, and mobile devices. The new downloadable content, “Legacy of the Bloodmoon,” marks Vampire Survivors‘ eighth expansion since its October 2022 launch.
“Our darkest expansion for Vampire Survivors is out now and at a special price: one money! (or as low as we could go, depending on regional currency),” a Steam message from the studio reads.
“This expansion pack follows Clan Bloodmoon as they retrace the pilgrimage of Saint Baal’Thasar, in search of a paradise lit by (you guessed it) a bright red moon. There is also an ancient manor that may or may not hide the secret of immortality.”
The brand-new DLC follows Malice Bloodmoon as she works to uncover the truth about Clan Bloodmoon, the powerful dark reflections harnessing the New Moon’s might.
Vampire Survivors‘ “Legacy of the Bloodmoon” includes 12 new characters, 16+ new weapons and evolutions, 11 incredible new music tracks, and Red Moon Manor, a foreboding — and absolutely massive — new stage. New playable characters include Malice Bloodmoon, the relentless, power-hungry leader of Clan Bloodmoon, brutal beast Calogero Bloodmoon, and Sinister Saint Baal’Thasar. New weapons include the paralyzing, piercing Scarlet Needle, a classic FireBall, and Incineration, the latter of which is capable of wiping your enemies out in a flash.
In addition to the new “Legacy of the Bloodmoon” DLC, poncle is also releasing a new update for its very first expansion, “Legacy of the Moonspell,” which was first released in December 2022. The expansion, now available for only $0.99, includes five extra weapons, a few new faces, a new audio track, and some helpful buffs for the original cast.
