On Thursday, Aniplex Inc. officially launched a limited-time collaboration between the popular, free-to-play mobile strategy game, Resident Evil Survival Unit, and CAPCOM’s beloved Monster Hunter series. The special Resident Evil Survival Unit x Monster Hunter event is now live worldwide and available to mobile gamers through Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Through this titanic collaboration, Resident Evil Survival Unit players will welcome Monster Hunter–inspired gameplay mechanics, combining the former’s ultra-tactical strategy elements with the latter’s iconic monsters.
“Monster Hunter arrives in Resident Evil Survival Unit,” reads the description on Resident Evil Survival Unit‘s latest announcement video. “A new threat has emerged in a world of ruins. Amid collapsing cities and isolated survivors, build your own team and fight for survival against massive monsters. Monsters from another world shake the balance of survival. The hunt begins now.”
From now through July 29, players will encounter familiar Monster Hunter faces within Resident Evil Survival Unit. Some of this featured tie-in content includes:
- Hunt Rathalos, the King of the Skies
- Take on mission-based battles featuring Yian Kut-Ku
- Repel the Silver Rathalos (Rare Species) through high-intensity strategic exchanges
Resident Evil Survival Unit users will also find event minigames and other fun and influential Monster Hunter content that takes gameplay “beyond the core strategy system.”
Players can also participate in limited-time events to nab collaboration rewards and other exclusive in-game content, like:
- Two free collaboration-exclusive Hunter characters
- Limited-time customization items, like Base Skins and March Skins
