Star Wars: Galactic Racer release date revealed

Now THIS is podracing! On Thursday, games publisher Secret Mode officially announced the global release date for new developer Fuse Games’ upcoming high-stakes racing adventure, Star Wars: Galactic Racer. The official Star Wars account on X (formerly Twitter) published the game’s latest trailer, adding that Star Wars: Galactic Racer officially speeds onto most gaming systems on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Thursday’s early-morning upload, posted at 8 a.m. ET, has been viewed more than 250,000 times in just 90 minutes.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer brings racers around the world to the Galactic League, an unregulated underground racing circuit born in the Outer Rim. Take on the role of new pilot Shade and create alliances, burn bridges, and put intergalactic beef to bed by smoking competitors in high-octane races. The game will also foster racers’ creative streaks and desire to tinker. “Experiment with your build strategies across three distinct styles of repulsorcraft to create your ultimate vehicle. Get behind the controls of podracers and put your skills to the test in this iconic vehicle class. Take your talents online in exciting multiplayer races to prove yourself as an elite racing pilot. No Force. No prophecy. Just skill, strategy, and the will to rise.”

Star Wars: Galactic Racer is Fuse Games‘ inaugural project, but the team’s passion for game development and combined industry experience should encourage any die-hard Star Wars fan to unclench. “We love games. The art, and the craft,” Fuse Games’ home page blurb begins. “We’re Fuse Games, a passionate, collaborative game studio working on our debut game- STAR WARS: Galactic Racer. We’re a team of game makers who believe that how we build is just as important as what we build, and that creativity flourishes when it’s energetic and fuelled by love for the art and the craft.”

‘Star Wars: Galactic Racer’ races onto PC, consoles on October 6, 2026

By the time Star Wars: Galactic Racer launches on October 6, potential pilots should be ready to rock, roll, and race in no-holds-barred intergalactic landspeeder runs. The best way to prepare? By pre-ordering a Standard or Deluxe Edition digital copy, or one of the game’s physical releases — Standard, Deluxe, or Collector’s Edition — for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. According to a new press release, the Standard version of Star Wars: Galactic Racer is expected to retail for $59.99.
