Lucky Punk, a comic book-inspired roguelike deckbuilder from developer-publisher Green Parrot Games, is out now on PC via Steam.
In this hand-drawn (and proudly AI-free!) indie deckbuilder set in a gritty, post-apocalyptic world ruled by corporate interests, players must press their luck despite always knowing the odds.
Each turn, players decide whether they’ll draw another card and up the stakes, or stop and play it safe.
Lucky Punk differs from other odds-based roguelike deckbuilders in that it “lays its probabilities bare,” letting gamers see their chances of failure before pulling another card from their deck. With the mask off, every decision players make must be mindful.
This means players can’t pin their bad runs on a random number generator (RNG); these are YOUR choices, and you’ve gotta stick by ’em.

Now, I’m no crapshooter, but I am an opportunist. You’re giving me, a risk-averse woman with the temperament of a Chihuahua in a thundershirt, the chance to play fast and loose in a digital vacuum? Yes, please.
The game’s distinct, comic book-like visuals were created by renowned German illustrator Sarah Burrini. The multidimensional, textured, and edgy aesthetics bring each “punk” to life with bright neons, smart shading, comic book-y panels, and of course, Ben-Day dots.
Green Parrot Games confirmed in a news release that, “in keeping with the DIY spirit behind the project, Lucky Punk features no AI-generated content. It’s all made by foolhardy humans.”
Lucky Punk‘s cast of characters aren’t the only rebels; with the game’s unique take on roguelike deckbuilding, stunning art design, and studio Green Parrot Games’ openly anti-AI stance, the team behind it all looks to be the real “punks.”
