Cozy bug-catching game Kabuto Park coming to Nintendo Switch, Xbox

Good news, cozy gamers: charming bug-catching game Kabuto Park is celebrating its one-year anniversary by expanding to new platforms. On Tuesday, May 19, publisher Seaven Studio and developer Doot announced that the beloved insect-collecting adventure will buzz onto Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Windows Store via Xbox Game Pass on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

Kabuto Park, a short-but-sweet bug-collecting game, follows hand-drawn protagonist Hana as she enjoys an outdoorsy summer vacay. Explore the game’s vibrant environment, capture and level up powerful insects, assemble your team of battlin’ bugs, take on Hana’s fellow bug-battlers, and ultimately become Summer Beetle Battles champion. Kabuto Park, a bite-sized adventure players can complete in under five hours, will launch on additional systems for $5.99.

Kabuto Park first flew onto Steam on May 28, 2025, amassing nearly 3,000 “Overwhelmingly Positive” English-language reviews since. While the game’s first birthday is quickly approaching, its arrival on new systems introduces all-new mechanics. Players baggin’ bugs on Nintendo Switch “will be able to take advantage of the Switch’s Joy-Con gyroscope by waving the controller like an insect catching net to collect bugs in-game.”

No matter your hardware, Kabuto Park still brings the cartoony bug battles, approachable deckbuilding elements, and leveling system players have loved for nearly a year. Add in the game’s ambient music and warm-weather energy, and by gum, you’ve got a summer hit on your hands.
