Get ready, cozy gamers. Verde, the enchanting, nature-inspired city-building indie game first teased during Steam Next Fest last month, has an official release date. Gamers can take hold of this foliage-focused city-builder when it launches on PC via Steam next month on August 11.
In Verde, players take on the role of a Mage Academy student by the same name, and thankfully, this young learner has a green thumb. The student, also the newest member of the Academy’s Gardening Club, must help transform neglected gardens into fruitful green spaces for the game’s mysterious seed-like critters, called seedlets.
Develop land to meet seedlets’ demands, construct new homes, and gussy up every plot throughout Dewdrop Valley with lots of greenery. With each region, however, comes a unique set of challenges. Provided players build the seedlets’ ideal environment, these cheery cuties will wander through your gardens, offer valuable resources to aid in land development, and interact with their surroundings and one another.

In Verde, players will:
- Revitalize once-thriving green spaces and communities;
- manage and monitor lots of Seedlets;
- develop rich gardens throughout three unique biomes, each with special structures, mechanics, and more;
- explore countless interchangeable customization options;
- manage environmental resources;
- follow a cute, story-driven campaign;
- and enjoy endless replayability in Verde‘s Sandbox Mode.
Verde, the debut game from Jakarta, Indonesia-based developer Antimeta Studio, began as a student project before blooming into what the team’s latest press release calls “a full cozy city-building game.” The publisher behind Verde, Assemble Entertainment, has released dozens of hits from independent developers worldwide, including Sticky Business, Grind Survivors, and more.
