Cozy up, gamers, because indie game developer 5 Lives Studios has launched its most ambitious update yet for Cozy Caravan, the adorable open-world traveling merchant adventure released earlier this year.
The new (FREE!) 1.6 update, Ibis Isles, brings cozy critters on a stunning island getaway. The region features a busy airport, meditative zen gardens, artifacts to investigate, ruins to explore, and more. What a treat!
Cozy Caravan devs shared a bit about the update in an early-morning Bluesky post. “Pack your bags, our 1.6 update is here, and it’s our BIGGEST one yet! The brand new region, Ibis Isles, is officially open!”
Ibis Isles, Cozy Caravan‘s nautical new locale, is ready for visitors! Fans can anticipate eight new locations to investigate, more than two dozen engaging quests, nearly 50 new recipes, and tons of cute wearables.
Quality-of-life changes are coming alongside cosmetics, too. Players can now fast travel! “Arriving at Aviary Airport unlocks the Travel Pass,” developers explain in the game’s latest Steam update.
“Purchasing this upgrade from the Guild Shop brings a long-requested feature of Fast Travel! While still keeping our slow-paced gameplay vibes, Players can travel between each major region without the road-trip. Ferry Ports at Stoniebridge, Clamberry, and Pebblewick will become accessible once you’ve purchased the Travel Pass upgrade.”
Cozy gamers can take a breath, knowing the update also brings “lots of bug fixes,” as the team notes in its Steam announcement.
“We’ve been so heartwarmed by the response Cozy Caravan has received from our community that we wanted to spread the love by creating a wealth of all new content, for free, as a way to thank everyone for all their support,” said Dean Ferguson, Creative Lead on Cozy Caravan and Co-Founder of 5 Lives Studios.
