FuturLab’s cult cozy game franchise PowerWash Simulator is no stranger to pop culture collabs, but the latest announcement is truly out of this world. On Monday morning, the independent video game studio teased new Star Wars-themed DLC for its beloved business simulator, and while this might not be the droid you’re looking for, I reckon it’s the next-best thing. The indie developer-publisher shared the reveal in a Steam news post. “Get those (water) blasters ready, we’ve got a job to do! STAR WARS is coming to PowerWash Simulator 2,” the announcement exclaims. “We’ll be travelling to a galaxy far, far away to take on six iconic jobs from the STAR WARS Universe. Coming Summer 2026! Priced at 9.99 USD / 9.99 EUR / 7.99 GBP / 1,100 JPY.”
The downloadable pack’s Steam description states that the content is set during the events of the original trilogy — Star Wars: A New Hope, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi — and assigns players the role of Class Five cleaning droid P0-W2. Players will manage messes in Tatooine, shine sheets of ice in Hoth, and even come across iconic Star Wars ships, spots, and structures. “Your average assignment quickly spirals into being commandeered to carry out the Empire’s dirty work, before clearing the way for the Rebel Alliance,” FuturLab teases in the DLC pack’s Steam listing. “Rebellions are built on hope, and soap.”
“Your mission takes you from the sandstorms of Tatooine to the ice fields of Hoth, with a smattering of stops along the Outer Rim. Get up close and personal with iconic Star Wars locations, ships, and droids like never before, uncovering every last detail as you blast away the dirt. There’s a whole galaxy out there – delight in cleaning it up.”
According to the Steam description, players can enjoy a calming solo powerwash sesh or call on their crew for help in Free Play. This game mode allows gamers to collaborate with up to four other powerwashing pros. FuturLab’s announcement makes no mention of included cosmetics, but the reveal trailer appears to show Star Wars-inspired wearables in addition to blasters.
The Star Wars DLC constitutes the second supplemental content release for PowerWash Simulator 2 since the sequel launched on October 23, 2025. The game’s first DLC release, an Adventure Time Pack, was released a few weeks ago on April 9. At the time of writing, FuturLab has not announced a tentative launch date for its intergalactic content pack beyond Summer 2026. Still, its estimated retail price of $9.99 exceeds the Adventure Time pack’s sale price of $7.99.
Fans are sharing their excitement in comment sections across the internet. “IVE PRAYED FOR DAYS LIKE THIS,” reads one eager YouTube user’s comment on the DLC reveal trailer. “I’m so down for this,” reads another.
