Cozy puzzle game Woodo out now on PC, consoles

Woodo, the charming new diorama adventure from Daedalic Entertainment and developer Tiny Monks Tales, is out now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

The game’s developers, Yullia ‘Julia’ Prohorova and Timur Bogotov, first announced Woodo in 2024. I first got my hands on Woodo at PAX East 2024, and I’ve been rooting for it since.

In Woodo, players help tell the story of Ben the frog and Foxy by constructing quaint storybook scenes using three-dimensional wooden blocks. Tactile structure assembly, wholesome storytelling, remarkable 3D visuals, soothing narration — when it all comes together, your story comes to life.

The game’s satisfying tactile sensations make brick-building feel real; each 3D wooden block clicks into place like you’re really helping Foxy and Ben build. Try not to get goosies as the game’s ASMR-like narration gently guides your adventure.

Woodo developer Yullia ‘Julia’ Prohorova shared a message of gratitude with Steam followers on behalf of Tiny Monks and Daedalic. “Today is a very special day for us,” the emoji-peppered post begins, “Woodo is officially out!”

“It feels a little strange to finally say that. For a long time, Woodo was just an idea in my head – a feeling I wanted to turn into a game. I wanted to make something that feels a little like finding an old childhood toy in a box you haven’t opened in years.

“Something familiar that brings back a feeling you thought you had forgotten. And now, after all this time, that little idea is finally yours to experience. A little game with a big piece of our hearts,” Prohorova continues.

Check out the adorable trailer for Woodo:

Nintendo Switch, XBOX, and PlayStation users can find Woodo on their respective digital storefronts. Any player who nabs the Nintendo Switch version of Woodo will receive a free Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrade.

PC players can buy Woodo on Steam, add it to their wishlists, or download the game’s free demo to tinker before taking on the full title. Woodo is listed at $16.99, but is available for just $11.89 as part of the game’s post-launch intro offer. Players with similar games in their libraries may be eligible for deeper discounts through bundles.

Woodo‘s most passionate supporters can pick up the game’s Endless Summer Edition, which includes the full game, the 39-track digital soundtrack, and the Supporter Pack DLC with added content.
